Dear APHES 2010 Participants,
My name is Laura and I’m APHES Course Manager. One part of my job is to organize the social events for the participants during the two weeks to help break the ice and get to know each other better. I know that some of you will be coming to Brussels for the first time, and would probably like to take a look around the city in your free time. There are many options to do this (you can find information on the different links in the "Brussels & Belgium" menu item on the website).
One option which is rather new is a tour of Brussels by bike (http://www.brusselsbiketours.com/index.htm). The tour is 4 hours long, of which about 1.5 hours is on the bike itself. It is an environmentally friendly and healthy way to see the city sites! The cost is 25 Euro per person.
If there is enough interest amongst the classmates, I would be willing to make the reservation and conditional down payment for Saturday July 10th at 10am. Is anyone interested in doing something like this?
If so, let me know and I will make the reservation in advance. Everyone who has committed will be expected to pay for their own ticket (25 Euro) on the second day of classes: Tuesday July 6th.
